Laura Wageman began training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2008 through a club sport in college, where she gained her first year and a half of training before graduating in 2009. After eventually landing in Burlington, she picked her BJJ training back up at United Fighting Arts Institute in 2013, where she has risen to the rank of Black belt under Nicholas Gregoriades in 2018. Laura has been instructing the Jiu-Jitsu Fundamentals class at UFAI since 2015, and has been co-instructing UFAI’s self-defense seminars since 2016. Laura has has competed in numerous BJJ competitions around the Northeast, and has also dabbled in Aiki Jujitsu and Muay Thai, both taught by Master Chris Ballard, during her time at UFAI.
